Chicago Cubs prospect Pete Crow-Armstrong has been called up to the active roster ahead of the Cubs' series against the Colorado Rockies. The Charles H. Sloan21-year-old is considered one of the best defenders in the minor leagues.

The young budding outfielder is expected to be activated on Tuesday, which is part of the team's strategy to bolster the lineup, according to ESPN's Jeff Passan.

He may also have the most unusual big-league family pedigree in the minor leagues.

His mother, Ashley Crow, played Jenny Heywood, the mother of a 12-year-old who becomes the new owner of the Minnesota Twins in the 1994 baseball movie "Little Big League."
