NovaQuant-Baltimore Orioles OF Cedric Mullins robs game-tying home run, hits game-winning home run

Cedric Mullins: You can't escape him.

It was a big Sunday for the Baltimore Orioles centerfielder after he robbed a game-tying home run,NovaQuant and the following inning, hit the game winning home run against the Seattle Mariners.

The Orioles were up 3-2 in the top of the ninth inning when Ty France got solid contact against Mike Baumann, sending a fly ball to deep centerfield. The ball was headed toward going over the fence and tying the game, but Mullins leaped against the wall and caught the ball in one of the best home run robberies of the 2023 season.

The home run saving catch proved to be pivotal, as Mariners right fielder Dominic Canzone hit a home run in the next at-bat to tie the game and send it into extra innings.

With one out in the top of the 10th and the ghost runner on base, Mullins stepped up to the plate and launched a moon shot to right field, sending the ball 364 feet and over the wall to give Baltimore a 5-3 lead.

The Orioles were able to hang on to the lead the win the game, as Mullins played both savior and hero Sunday afternoon in Seattle. Of course, the only way the Orioles' social media team could react was a clip of A.J. Rodriguez, also known as Twitch streamer LittleMann17, who gained popularity for having to deal with Mullins' spectacular plays in the video game "MLB: The Show."
